Can you eat with an ear infection? I can't...

We have our share..

I understand that the infections are frequent in our kids with the tiny ear canals and sinus'. Ty has apparently lost a great percentage of his hearing now and today we find he has another ear infection.

His pain tolerance is way up there and he does not run fevers unless he is deathly ill. So no fever and no clue until the fluids and pus run out of his ear.

His ENT responded fast but I worry so much each time that more damage is done.

Does anyone have any old fashion preventitves?

My eldest son, had constant fluid flowing from his ears, it wont cause any problems other than it’s hard for him to dear when his ears are blocked up.
Our ENT said so long as there are grommets in and the fluid is getting out, no more damage to the hearing. It’s when the fluid cant get out that it damages the hearing….I’m sure you know this sorry. We had years of it, and have had to calm Doctors down, when they see the scar tissue in his ears. My eldest son had a Cleft lip and palate so lots of ear tubes…
Also Michael wouldn’t complain either high tolerances pain, the kids do when they have had to deal with surgery’s . By the time Michael would say “Mum my ear hurts” the ear drum had busted yet again.
Give that boy a squeeze for me. He’s so brave.

Tell me!
