Nova, strong and beautiful

This post is to remember Nova. Nova died on Saturday, the 20th of June. She fought a hard battle with cancer. She was two years old.
We knew Nova briefly but the impact that she made on us ensures we will remember her forever. We remember Nova as being beautiful, thoughtful, smart and inquisitive, loving and happiest when mommy and daddy were with her. There are not enough discriptive words for her beauty and spirit.
I can close my eyes and see her and clearly remember her laugh. An incident that was related to me keeps coming back.
KC the manager at the RMH loved to play with her. She would hand her the house keys and tell her "Nova, you be the boss!" and one morning KC handed her the keys and she automatically replied "I be boss!" and that pretty much describes how she took over everyones heart.
Nova was a fighter. They say the apple does not fall too far from the tree. Nova's mom was a fighter and sought every opportunity for Nova in medical treatment. Each day was a gift and each smile and laugh from Nova was as soothing balm on an aching mother's heart.
Nova's dad was a steady ship steering her to calm and he always maintained that he did not want her to fear. He helped her to trust and relax and I can still see her in his arms, resting in his strength and drawing from it.
The bible makes promises. One that assures me that Nova will live again is the resurrection. The resurrection of the dead, an undeserved kindness on God’s part, is essential to mankind’s happiness and to the undoing of all the harm, suffering, and oppression that have come upon the human race due to Satan misleading man and sin being introduced. These things have befallen man as a result of his imperfection and sickness, the wars he has waged, the murders committed, and the inhumanities practiced by wicked people at the instance of Satan the Devil. We cannot be completely happy if we do not believe in a resurrection. The apostle Paul expressed the feeling in these words: “If in this life only we have hoped in Christ, we are of all men most to be pitied.”—1Co 15:19. Jesus promised this and demonstrated it many times. We have faith and therefore hope.
